Every guy who’s thought about trying F3 has talked himself out of it at least once. Here are the five excuses we hear the most — and why none of them hold up once you’re actually standing in the circle.
1. "I need to get in shape first"
This one has it backwards. F3 is where you get in shape — it isn’t a place you show up already fit for. Every workout scales to wherever you’re starting, and the guy next to you was in your exact shoes once. Show up as you are; that’s the whole ask.
2. "I already have a gym membership"
Keep it. A gym and F3 aren’t competing for the same thing. What a gym can’t give you is a group of guys who notice when you don’t show up, push you harder than you’d push yourself, and are still standing around talking after the workout ends. Most of our PAX do both.
3. "Mornings aren't my thing"
Nobody is a morning workout guy until they are. We start early on purpose — it’s over before the rest of your day gets a vote, and you get the whole day back afterward. Most guys will tell you the hardest part is the first alarm, not the workout itself.
4. "I've already got a personal trainer"
Great, keep that too. A trainer dials in your form and your program. What F3 adds is a crew that shows up next to you for free, in the heat and the cold, long after any training package runs out. Think of it as a second gear, not a replacement.
5. "This sounds like a cult"
No dues, no sign-up, nothing to buy, no pitch. Show up once, work out, and leave — nobody will chase you if you don’t come back. Judge it by what actually happens at 5:30am, not by how it sounds on paper.
None of these hold up once you’re actually in the circle with us. Find a time and place on our Workout Locations page, or get the full rundown on what to expect at New to F3.
